Urine leak which happens when you sneeze, cough, laugh or take part in any physical activity, without a sudden need to go to the toilet, can happen as a result of weak pelvic floor muscles. It is medically called stress incontinence and generally can be treated with regular pelvic floor excercises.
Pelvic floor muscle exercises are recommended by NICE as the first line treatment of stress incontinence, as they work to strengthen these muscles, which should then reduce the amount of leak. They need to be done regularly to have an effect.
Carin can help you do the pelvic floor excercises by showing you what you need to do and also send you gentle reminders to make sure you do them regularly. With the sensor able to measure leak, you are able to check on your progress, which should show you a reduction in the amount you leak.
